Philippe Février              

A researcher in Economics and Statistics turned entrepreneur, Philippe founded various consulting firms before creating Veltys and growing the company with the team he carefully assembled. Today he supports C-level executives of French and international firms in their strategic considerations about data and sits on the board of various innovative companies.

A leader with a unique set of skills, he can choose the best specification for a statistical model, devise and implement the optimal strategy for a client or help a team member outdo himself.

A graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE, Philippe earned his PhD at EHESS. He started working in the Economics Department of the University of Chicago before returning to France as the Dean of Studies of ENSAE and then took the helm of a research lab at CREST to which he still belongs. It makes you wonder how he still finds time to publish in the best academic reviews!

Romain Aeberhardt

Romain is an accomplished researcher turned consultant and scientific expert. He brings clients and team members the technical expertise and strong operational experience he acquired during his formative years at CREST and INSEE.

Widely recognized as our expert in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Econometrics and Modelling, his clients are sure to benefit from his numerous skills. Constantly looking for new challenges, technical innovations and puns, he always comes up with a spot-on reference.

A graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE, Romain earned his PhD at EHESS with a thesis in Applied Econometrics. Your greatest risk with Romain is getting caught in a debate on sampling biases in machine learning algorithms!

Julie Tisserond 

Julie joined Veltys after several years in management and organizational consulting. Thanks to her perfect fluency in both technical and strategic topics, she is second to none when it comes to driving a project from start to finish. She devotes all her energy to help clients and team member achieve their maximum potential.

Utterly enthusiastic about strategy, consulting and management, Julie also harbours the soul of a researcher, in keeping with the Veltys tradition. After graduating from Paris 1 University in Economics, she obtained a PhD in the Economics Department of Ecole Polytechnique.

Mehdi Lazrak

An engineer holding degrees from ESTP and ENSAM, Mehdi started his professional life as a Purchasing Consultant. He then joined Société Générale and held various positions in the Procurement and Real Estate Departments where he oversaw innovation.

He joined Veltys as an unflinching project manager, bringing with him his past experiences, efficiency and outstanding creativity, especially when it comes to Change Management Projects. One of the last projects he worked on was the construction of the “Dunes”, Société Générale’s campus, involving 5 000 staff, new working methods and lots of innovation.

An enthusiast of data, new technologies and innovation, he is our first certified Scrum Master. And he seems unstoppable: he loves taking part in hackathons but it’s nothing compared with his involvement in marathons. Perseverance and excellence wrapped in one: that is Mehdi.

Nicolas Dupuis 

A graduate of HEC and the holder of a PhD in Economics, Nicolas joined Veltys at the very beginning. Without a doubt our rugby expert, his command of econometrics allows him to bring clients innovative solutions. As both a consultant and a researcher, Nicolas is the embodiment of the dual identity which makes Veltys so special.

Florimond Bourdeaux

Florimond joined Veltys when the firm was created and excels in the management of high stake projects. A truly multi-purpose team member, he can proof-check an instrumental regression model as well as defend the disruptive business model of two-sided platform. A perpetual whistler and a great trumpet-player, he is the embodiment of the Businessman in Starmania.

Anne Muller     

A Veltys consultant since the creation of the firm, Anne has taken over the operational aspects of the company and became COO in 2017. A graduate from ENSAE and Sciences Po Paris, she is particularly gifted in sorting out the most outlandish issues and for Python. She has 10 roles and handles 1000 topics in order to help Veltys grow!

Arthur started his professional life at the French Ministry of Economics. After having switched from Taxation Theory to Network Economics, he joined Veltys as a specialist of the Energy sector. Audrey Ribeiro 

Audrey joined Veltys in 2015 before she had even formally graduated from ENSAE! Passionate about Data and Analytics topics, her knack for teaching is precious to help others develop their skills. A born communicator, she has a wealth of ideas to promote Veltys to all audiences. 

Benjamin Phan

Benjamin joined Veltys after graduating from ENSAE where he specialized in Data Science. Enthusiastic about technical challenges, visualization and machine learning, he is always full of ideas to tackle a client’s problem. A true music lover, Benjamin also plays in an orchestra.

Borahn Tarridec

Borahn joined Veltys after graduating from Aix Marseille School of Economics. Friendly and dynamic, he masters the secrets of many programming languages. Expert in econometrics and machine learning, his advanced data skills make him a remarkable Data scientist.

Clémentine graduated in 2019 from ENSAE and ESCP with plenty of ideas and bags of energy. Armed with specialisation in both business and data science, she knows how to make the link between the questions of our clients and the data approach. And it must be said, there is no equal to when it comes to getting to the bottom of subjects (and databases)!

Florent Laval    

Florent graduated from the Master in Statistics and Econometrics at TSE in 2016. He is passionate about interactions between data science and IT and keeps abreast of the most recent trends in machine learning and IA. Every year since he joined Veltys, he gets the prize for best Secret Santa.

Jean-Baptiste Vilain

Holder of a PhD in Economics, Jean-Baptiste did his dissertation in collaboration with Veltys and Sciences Po Paris from which he graduated. He has the spirit of a researcher and a strong taste for strategic issues leading him to take part in projects in which his scientific approach has a strong added-value.

A graduate of the Toulouse School of Economics in economics and King’s College London in competition law, Mathilde joined Veltys with several years of work experience in the field of competition in the public and private sectors. Her missions are mainly those of competition, economic regulation and damage assessment, where her experience and ease with economic reasoning allow her to resolve the most complex cases.

A true « jack of all trades », Rachel is our indispensable Office Manager. Willing to help out in all situations, facilitate the daily running of the office and find solutions in an instant. Passionate about gastronomy, she is also the one who finds us the best places for lunch.

Rémy Prom

An experienced consultant, Rémy has held positions in Competition Economics and with the French Court of Auditors before joining Veltys. He is currently based in London where he manages international projects in which data is key. He is fluent in French and English but can also get by in Spanish and Japanese.

Her dual expertise and her pedagogy make her a talented and appreciated economist.
